Class Description: Rod building with Project Healing Waters is a hands-on and rewarding experience that allows you to craft your very own fly rod from start to finish. This activity gives you the chance to learn the art and skill behind creating a custom fly rod, tailored to your personal preferences. Whether you're new to rod building or have some experience, our volunteers will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you have the support and instruction you need. As you work on your rod, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with other veterans and service members, making it not just a project, but a meaningful and therapeutic journey. When you're done, you'll walk away with a custom rod you can be proud of and use on future fishing outings. It's all about learning, connecting, and creating something unique in a supportive and friendly environment.
